These terms govern your use of the Lintel property-compliance service and this website ("the Service"), provided by Lintel ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation.
Lintel helps landlords, agents and property managers record properties and tenancies and track the compliance certificates, inspections and deadlines they require. The Service supports, but does not replace, your own legal and regulatory responsibilities. Compliance requirements change, and you remain responsible for meeting the obligations that apply to your properties.
You must be at least 18 and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Tell us promptly of any unauthorised use.
You retain ownership of the data you enter. You grant us the permissions we need to host and process it to provide the Service. Where you connect Google Drive or Microsoft 365, those files remain in your own account under your control; Lintel stores links and metadata and accesses files only as described in our Privacy Policy. You can disconnect a storage provider at any time.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. During early access we do not offer an uptime guarantee and features may change. We aim to give reasonable notice of significant changes.
Any fees, and the plans they apply to, will be set out before you subscribe to a paid plan. Where the Service is offered free of charge we may change or end that offer on reasonable notice.
Lintel and its software, design and branding are owned by us or our licensors. These terms do not transfer any of our intellectual property to you beyond the right to use the Service.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from your failure to meet a compliance obligation that the Service did not or could not identify. The Service is a tool to assist you, not a substitute for professional advice.
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached or where necessary to protect the Service or other users. On termination you may export your data for a reasonable period before it is deleted.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
