Last updated 20 October 2026

This policy explains how Lintel ("Lintel", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal data when you use our property-compliance service and this website. Lintel is operated from the United Kingdom and acts as a data controller for account and website data, and as a data processor for the property and compliance records you enter on behalf of your organisation. For the full identity and registered details of the operating entity, contact support@lintelhq.io.

Information we collect

How we use your data

Legal bases (UK GDPR)

We rely on: performance of our contract with you; our legitimate interests in running and securing the service; your consent, where asked (for example connecting a storage provider); and compliance with our legal obligations.

Google and Microsoft user data

Lintel's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We access only the data needed to provide features you have enabled, we do not use Google or Microsoft account or file data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train generalised artificial-intelligence models. The same principles apply to data accessed through Microsoft sign-in and Microsoft 365 storage.

Sharing and sub-processors

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run Lintel (such as hosting and email delivery), bound to protect it and use it only on our instructions, and where required by law. Core application data is held on infrastructure we operate.

Storage, location and security

Data is stored on servers in the United Kingdom or European Economic Area. Each organisation's records are logically isolated from every other organisation's. Data is encrypted in transit. Access is restricted to what is needed to operate the service.

Retention

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then delete or anonymise it within a reasonable period, unless we must retain it to meet a legal obligation.

Your rights

Under UK data-protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete, export or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email support@lintelhq.io. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

We use only cookies that are necessary to sign you in and keep your session secure. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Children

Lintel is a business tool and is not intended for anyone under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do. Material changes will be notified through the service.
